Kalimpong
Travelers will find Kalimpong quieter and friendlier than Darjeeling. Perched on a ridge just south of Sikkim and 50km east of Darjeeling, the town boasts fantastic views over neighboring valleys and the Himalayas. The jeep ride from Darjeeling is truly spectacular as you pass through endless tea fields and under brightly colored prayer flags. Mt Kanchenjunga is never far out of sight.
Darjeeling
Darjeeling is a town in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the headquarters of Darjeeling district, in the Shivalik Hills on the lower ranges of the Himalaya, at an average elevation of 2,134 m (6,982 ft). During the British Raj in India, Darjeeling's temperate climate led to its development as a hill station (hill town) for British residents to escape the heat of the plains during the summers.
Gangtok
Gangtok is the capital city Sikkim, the second smallest state of India. Famous for its many important monasteries, and for the picturesque views of the Himalayas, Gangtok is one of the important hill-station of the country.
